Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has instructed educational institutions in the state to teach Telugu as a compulsory subject from class 1 to class 12. 

The chief minister has asked all the public and private schools to implement Telugu as a compulsory language till 12th standard. KCR have also instructed organisations to display the name of the organisations in Telugu. 

The government is about to bring a resolution regarding making Telugu as compulsory language in schools in the forthcoming cabinet meeting that may take later in the month. 

The Telugu language has been there but not as a compulsory subject. But now it seems that the state is planning to make it one.
