Several notable politicians including Prime Minister of Narendra Modi sent their greetings to President Ram Nath Kovind on his 72nd birthday. Twitter flooded with wishes for the President as most of the leaders prayed for his longevity and good health.

“Birthday wishes to Rashtrapati ji. May Almighty bless him with a long and healthy life devoted to the service of our nation @rashtrapatibhvn,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on twitter, sending his wishes to the President.

PM also praised President Ram Nath Kovind’s dedication towards the nation and his willingness to work towards the development of poor and needful. ”Since his tenure began Rashtrapati ji has endeared himself to the people of India through his simple & compassionate nature @rashtrapatibhvn”, ”I have always found Rashtrapati ji to be sensitive towards the aspirations of 125 crore Indians, especially the poor and marginalised,” PM Modi wrote in a series of tweets.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu also met President Ram Nath Kovind to greet him on his birthday. He took to twitter to post a picture from the meeting and wrote, ”Met Rashtrapati Shri. Ram Nath Kovind ji to convey him Birthday Greetings.”

Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Arun Jaitley also poured in his wishes for the president and posted a heartfelt message on twitter. ”Warm b’day greetings to Hon’ble Rashtrapati Sh.Ram Nath Kovind ji. May he be blessed with a long, healthy &successful life @rashtrapatibhvn,” he posted on twitter wishing President Ram Nath Kovind a healthy successful life.

Among other political leaders who wished the President on the occasion were, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, “Birthday greetings to @rashtrapatibhvn Ram Nath Kovind ji,” she wrote on twitter to send her greetings to honourable President of India.

Union Minister for Sports, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also posted a message for the President on twitter, ”B’day wishes to Pres Ram Nath Kovind ji. Great of him to go into details of his program to ensure meaningful outcome. I pray for his long life,” he tweeted.

President Ram Nath Kovind turned 72 on Sunday, the former Governor of Bihar was elected as the 15th President of India on July 20, 2017.
