Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav was also present at the convention.

Akhilesh Yadav has now made sure that the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections will be contested under his leadership. After feud in the Yadav family, Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Ram Gopal Yadav joined hands and Shivpal Yadav, Mulayam were sidelined.
Earlier this month, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav did not turn up for the 8th state convention of the party which they formed 25 years back.
There were indications of some thaw in the frigid relations between the warring father and son earlier this week when Akhilesh drove to his father’s residence next door and invited him for the national convention. He later also telephonically spoke to his estranged uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav on Wednesday evening, after nine months, to invite him for the party meet. Shivpal reciprocated by extending his blessings for his second term as party president.
There were reports that Shivpal Yadav and Malayam Singh will attend the 10th national convention they were reportedly to take a chartered flight from Lucknow to Agra, but it did not happen.
