Congress’ Vice President Rahul Gandhi seems to be on a spree to woo voters before the upcoming elections as after visiting Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi is all set to kick-off his 3-day visit to his constituency Amethi, on Wednesday (Today). During his 3-day visit, Rahul Gandhi is also expected to visit Congress President and his mother Sonia Gandhi’s Rae Bareli constituency.

After landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport in Lucknow, Rahul Gandhi will leave for Amethi by road. During his road trip, Congress’ vice president is also expected to stop at villages to meet people and discuss their issues. After reaching Amethi, Gandhi will be staying at the Munshiganj guest house.

According to the details revealed by the Congress leader, the next day on October 5, Rahul Gandhi will hold a ‘janta darshan’ at the guest house. He will meet party workers at Rajiv Gandhi College in Tiloi and in Salon, Rae Bareli, before calling it a day at the Bhuemau guest house.

On the last day of his visit, he will hold a ‘janta darshan’ in his mother’s constituency Rae Bareli.

Rahul Gandhi’s three-day visit to his and his mother’s constituency grabbed the headlines after the district authorities in Amethi suggested a postponement citing security concerns.

The statement by the authorities irked the Congress leaders resulting in massive criticism.

However, taking a stand, Amethi district magistrate Yogesh Kumar said that the authorities ‘never said no’ to Rahul’s visit but suggested a postponement taking into account his security concerns.

“Rahul had proposed to visit Amethi from October 4-6. We never said no (to his visit),” he added. The authorities, however, gave a go-ahead for the visit on Monday.

Earlier, Gandhi had fired a fresh salve at Modi government and said it has been able to provide employment to only 400 new youth as compared to 40,000 in China.

“Everyday 30, 000 people go in search of jobs, and the government provides employment to just 400 new youth as compared to 40, 0000 in China,” Gandhi said on the final day of his Gujarat tour.

Gandhi further said that if Congress comes back to power it will fight China by providing employment and not just with mere anger.
