BJYM launches two-day Tiranga Yatra on Kargil Vijay Diwas from today

Under the direction of BJYM National President and MP Tejasvi Surya, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) begins a two-day Tiranga Yatra on the Kargil Vijay Diwas commencing today.

BJYM statement states that the yatra would start at Lal Chowk in Srinagar and end in Kargil. Participants in this yatra will include national office holders, executive members, and state presidents of BJYM. At the Kargil War Memorial, the BJYM will commemorate Vijay Diwas on July 26.

At Lal Chowk Srinagar, where special guest Tarun Chugh, national general secretary of BJP will lead caravan of motorcycles carrying national flag will be launched.

All guests are required to bring dirt from the front yards of the martyrs’ homes in their respective states, which will be dedicated to the war monument as a symbolic nod to the dead and in honour of their families. This request has been made by Surya.

“It is an honour for BJYM to be in charge of the BJP’s first organising programme in Kashmir since Article 370 was repealed. On the occasion of Kargil, BJYM conducted the illustrious Tiranga Yatra from Lal Chowk to Kargil. As BJYM Karyakartas from all across India join me in this yatra, Vijay Diwas will carry the message of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” stated Surya.

The president of BJYM will speak during the public event. Members of parliament and other dignitaries who are participating in the bike rally will join him.

At the Kargil War Memorial, the team will pay respect to the fallen warriors and raise the 75-meter-long Indian National Flag to commemorate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.”

Rajnath Singh, defence minister, stated earlier on Sunday that the repeal of Article 370 has given the ambitions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir a new dawn of hope.
