On Saturday morning, multiple murders were reported from the national capital. According to reports, five persons, including four women of a family, were found dead inside a house at Mansarovar Park of Shahdara district in East Delhi. After the incident was reported, officials from Delhi police rushed to the spot. Even though the motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained, sources claim that the multiple killings took place over an alleged property dispute.

Commenting on the multiple killings that took place inside a house at Mansarovar Park of Shahdara district, the investigating police official said that during the primary investigation of the house, the police have recovered a sharp weapon. The police official added that the deceased include four women and a security guard.

Further disclosing the matter, Delhi Special Police Commissioner said that according to preliminary investigation there were no signs of ‘forced entry’. He said, “Crime scene indicates friendly entry, cannot say the motive behind the murders now. We have few inputs and probe is underway.

According to reports, the killings seem to be done to avoid a property dispute as nothing was stolen from the house. Preliminary investigation showed there was “no forced entry” into the house and no valuables were stolen, a police officer said.

According to the reports, the police are on the spot and are investigating the matter. The officials are also questioning neighbours to find a lead on the murders. The police officials present at the spot said that the incident came to light when a call was made to the police at 7:15 AM. The deceased have been identified as Urmila (65), Sangeet Gupta (43), Nupur Jindal (35), Anjali Jindal (33) and security guard Rakesh (50).

While talking to media, one of the deceased’s friend said that she got know about the incident after getting a call from a friend. “I got a call that from a friend and got to know about the incident. Four family members and one guard were murdered. Some days ago some tension regarding property dispute was going on”, friend added.
