The Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) anti-terrorist agency, the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS), will meet in New Delhi today. The summit will take place from May 16 to 19, and all members of the grouping, including Pakistan, will be in attendance.

On Saturday, a Pakistani inter-ministerial team crossed the Wagah border into India. According to sources, the Pakistani delegation would be in India until May 20.

The SCO’s RATS, based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, is a permanent body of the organisation tasked with combating terrorism, extremism, and separatist in the area.

The third Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan was held in an extended format in New Delhi earlier in November.

The summit was attended by the National Security Advisers/Secretaries of India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan’s National Security Councils.

The participants examined the current state of affairs in Afghanistan, particularly the security situation and its regional and global implications.
