Jammu and Kashmir Police detected an ammunition supplying module in Sophian district of the state on October 9. The ammunition wizard connected to terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen also had two policemen involved in the supply racket. At least three people were arrested in the case including the two policemen.
The police team which was on a search round near the Circuit House area arrested one of the three accused Adil Ahmed Negroo there and recovered 20 live rounds of AK 47 from the suspected militant’s possession. The detained was later identified as the (OGW) over ground worker of the terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.

On intense interrogation, Negroo revealed that he had received 40 live rounds of AK47 from a Jammu and Kashmir police constable Shabir Ahmad Malik posted in the Ganderbal district of the state. He further went on to state that one of his other friends, namely Mudasir Ahmad Mir was also involved in the module. Malik was arrested, and he went on to make another shocking revelation that he had got the ammunition consignment from another police officer posted in kot DPL Shopian, Nazir Ahmad.
Both the police constables have been arrested after the accusations and police are further investigating the case.
Earlier today, two terrorists were neutralised down in Hajin area of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. Two Indian Army jawans lost their lives in the counter operations.
IAF Garuda Force personnel Sergeant Milind Kishor & Corporal Nilesh Kumar Nayar, were the two army officials who lost their lives in the Bandipora encounter.
Earlier on October 9, the Indian Army had encountered the chief of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Baramulla district of the state. Khalid an A++ militant was on the list of most wanted militants. Khalid’s former girlfriend helped the cops in tracking him and led to his killing.
