Prime Minister Narendra Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met at PM residence.

Sources stated, Mamata Banerjee would likely speak with Prime Minister on state-specific problems, such as GST obligations. Chief Minister, who arrived in Delhi on Thursday, is scheduled to meet with President Droupadi Murmu during her four-day stay.

On August 7, when the Niti Aayog governing council would convene and be presided over by the Prime Minister, the West Bengal Chief Minister is also anticipated to be there. She missed the meeting the previous year.

Trinamool Congress leader, Banerjee, met with her party’s lawmakers on Thursday to go through the party’s plans for the monsoon session of Parliament and the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

In a tweet, All India Trinamool Congress stated, “All of the MPs in Delhi attended a meeting with our chairperson, @MamataOfficial. A number of programmes and initiatives for the next several days were discussed, along with the current session of Parliament, the path to 2024, and related topics. Our dedication to serving the public never wavers.”

Meetings with Mamata Banerjee become important before the vice presidential election on August 6. While Margaret Alva represents the opposition parties, National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has declared Jagdeep Dhankhar as its vice-presidential candidate.
