Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday visited his constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh after the Congress party’s massive loss in the state Assembly elections. During his Uttar Pradesh visit, Rahul Gandhi attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in the Centre on issues such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), demonetisation and others. Rahul Gandhi during visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi will also hold meetings with farmers, locals and Congress party workers.

Hitting out at the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi said that if the Prime Minister Modi was unable to solve the issues of farmers in the country or if he was unable to generate employment for the youths, then he should admit it and tell us. The Congress party will come and do it in six months. Criticising the Prime Minister, Rahul Gandhi also mentioned that PM should stop wasting the time and do something to generate employment for the people of this country.

Taking on the Prime Minister further, Rahul Gandhi ignited the issue when PM Modi had said that NREGA (National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) scheme which was started by the Congress party was useless. Rahul Gandhi said that but now after few months, PM Modi had said that it is a useful scheme.

During his 3-day visit to Amethi, Rahul Gandhi will hold a ‘janta darshan’ at a guest house. He will meet party workers at Rajiv Gandhi College in Tiloi and in Salon, Rae Bareli, before calling it a day at the Bhuemau guest house. On the last day of his visit, he will hold a ‘janta darshan’ in his mother’s constituency Rae Bareli.

Earlier on October 2, BJP president Amit Shah had lashed out at Rahul Gandhi who had raised questioned on Gujarat model of development. Amit Shah said that Rahul Gandhi should wear Gujarati spectacles and not the one made in Italy, then he will see the development in Gujarat. Amit Shah had further hit out at Congress vice-president and said if Rahul dreams of Gujarat and development, then he has to visit Porbandar and not Italy.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi seems to be on a spree to woo voters before the upcoming elections as after visiting Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi is all set to kick-off his 3-day visit to his constituency Amethi, on Wednesday (Today). During his 3-day visit, Rahul Gandhi is also expected to visit Congress President and his mother and Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s Rae Bareli constituency.
