Rajasthan Crisis: Cong to hold state-wide protests, claims ‘democracy murdered’

After Rahul Gandhi tweets against the BJP charging it with accusations on attempting to topple a popular government, Rajasthan Congress has decided to hold protests at all district headquarters as the tussle for power continues between the Gehlot and the Pilot camp in the state.

Congress will hold a protest at all district headquarters in Rajasthan against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s alleged “conspiracy to murder democracy” on Saturday.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the BJP of a conspiracy to bring down party government in Rajasthan and said the state Governor should call an assembly session so that the truth comes out before people.

Gandhi’s remarks have come amid a factional fight in the state Congress between camps led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot.
