Wife of ND Tiwari’ s son Rohit Shekhar prime suspect in murder case: The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has termed Rohit Shekhar Tiwari’s wife Apoorva as one of the key suspects in his murder mystery. Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister ND Tiwari, was declared brought dead at the Max Hospital, Delhi on April 16, 2019. On Thursday, the Delhi police handed over the case to its Crime Branch after the autopsy report of Rohit stated that he died of asphyxia due to strangulation. The Delhi Police had taken Rohit Shekhar Tiwari’s wife Apoorva into custody on Sunday along with two house helps for interrogation.
On Saturday, the Crime Branch had questioned Apoorva for over eight hours at Shekhar’s residence in South Delhi’s Defence Colony area. Rohit Shekhar’s mother Ujjawala Sharma also hit at out at Apoorva on Saturday and alleged that her parents had eyes on his property. She further alleged that Apoorva also had relations with someone else prior to her marriage.
Ujjawala alleged that Apoorva and her family wanted to take over her son’s property as the property was close to the Supreme Court where Apoorva does the practice.
Rohit’s mother had also put an end to the rumours that Apoorva and Rohit met in the Supreme Court complex. She claimed that both of them met through a matrimonial website in 2017. She further revealed that Apoorva was also against giving a share of the property to a son of Rajiv Kumar, a relative and aide of Tiwari. She further added that there were tensions between both of them since the first day of their marriage.
The Delhi police have registered a case under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) into the matter.
