Bigg Boss OTT contestant and Bhojpuri film star Akshara Singh had found herself at the centre of controversy after an objectionable video, alleged to be an MMS clip of her with a man, began circulating widely on social media. The actress stayed silent on the matter for several days before finally addressing it through a video message she shared on her Instagram account.
Actress Called Out Those Behind The Circulation
She admitted that she had been busy with work and had not really followed what was happening on the internet in terms of this alleged video clip. Several YouTube influencers had allegedly posted the video, but she had found out about the situation only now. She made it very clear that whatever had been posted was not hers and was nothing but an act of defamation of her name.
Said It Won’t Affect Her, But Could Harm Other People
Akshara said that personally, she was unaffected by this entire ordeal since she was strong enough to take on such an attack against her image. However, what she said was that not everyone who comes under fire from this type of content has the strength that she possesses. She said that girls could be seriously harmed if something like that happened to them. She added that people tend to post such stuff in order to gain attention.
Warning To YouTubers Involved
The actress stood resolutely against the creators of the video, claiming that everyone can refer to themselves as a YouTuber regardless of any consequences of their posted content. She encouraged not to manipulate viewers just to get more hits, reminding that the distribution of such material can destroy peoples’ lives.
Legal Action On The Cards
In conclusion, Akshara warned that she is not helpless and she is not afraid of the scenario. She further stated that she was going to file a case of defamation against whoever has been sharing the video, and action will be taken to block the YouTube channels. She advised everyone who has been sharing the content to think before acting.
No case was reported as having been filed at this point although it was clear that there were plans to do so.
