On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak at the 90th Interpol General Assembly at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. Interpol’s 90th Annual General Assembly will be held from October 18 to 21 in New Delhi at Pragati Maidan.

Delegations from 195 INTERPOL member nations will attend the Interpol summit in Delhi, including Ministers, Police Chiefs of countries, Heads of National Central Bureaus, and Senior Police Officers. The General Assembly, Interpol’s top governing body, meets once a year to make critical operational decisions. The meeting will be held in India after a 25-year hiatus since the last one in 1997.

The General Assembly overwhelmingly approved India’s bid to hold the INTERPOL General Assembly in New Delhi in 2022, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. According to the PMO, the event would give a chance to exhibit best practises in India’s law and order system to the rest of the globe.
