Gujarat Elections: 3 polling stations being run by youth

To engage and inspire young voters, CEC Rajiv Kumar said that 33 polling stations will be administered by youth polling parties for the first time during phase 1 of the Gujarat Assembly elections.
To engage and inspire young voters, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that 33 polling stations will be administered by youth polling parties for the first time during phase 1 of the Gujarat Assembly elections.
Referring to the voting day as a democratic celebration CEC asked all Gujarat residents to vote. He said “Today is the festival of democracy in Gujarat. On behalf of the EC, I urge all 4.9 crore Gujarat voters to vote today and on December 5 during the second round of elections.”
Gujarat has nearly 4 lakh voters with disabilities and 9.8 lakh older citizens.
“We are making every effort to assist them. It is an opportunity to provide equity and equality while also showing respect for them. Over 10,000 centenarians and those with disabilities voted, which should inspire all of us, especially our young voters. PwD employees handle over 182 voting sites “said CEC Rajiv Kumar.
Further he added that there are 1274 polling places with female election workers.
