PM Modi addresses students on 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech

It was an outreach to the youth of the country when the Prime Minister addressed more than 1,000 students on the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s participation at the Chicago parliament of world religions.

PM Modi paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda and pitched for innovation.

While the youth was gripped to the speech all across the country, the West Bengal govt decided to not allow universities to participate in the ‘Young India, New India’ programme.

The TMC said that it will not allow saffron influence on the education system.
However, PM’s speech was screened at IIEST in Kolkata and IIT Kharagpur. Students were in full attendance in the auditorium while PM Modi was delivering his speech.

Cops are quizzing teachers too. Meanwhile, a team of Haryana police have reached Mumbai and is questioning the CRO of Ryan International School, Ryan Pinto.

Ryan Pinto on the other hand has moved the Bombay high court seeking anticipatory bail. The court will hear the plea on Tuesday.

The case has now reached the apex court which has sent a notice to the Haryana govt, CBI, CBSE and Centre asking them to reply with 2 weeks.

Hyderabad – Doon School Horrors: Female students reportedly sexually assaulted

A horrific incident has been reported from Dehradun where the female students have been sexually assaulted for the past several days by the chairman of ‘The Indian Academy’ School. This has come to light after a student decided to complain to her parents. The parents later protested following which the chairman was asked to leave the premises. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the school management.

Kolkata’s Salt Lake Stadium is FIFA-ready. The stadium has undergone a 100-crore makeover and is all set to host the U-17 World Cup finals.

The stadium has now been handed over to FIFA organising committee for the final touches before the tournament. The stadium’s capacity has been reduced to sixty six thousand six hundred and eighty seven-in line with the safety guidelines of FIFA.

The revamped stadium has been given a 10 on 10 rating by FIFA and is the first among the six venues to be handed over to the organising committee.
