It’s been a good 4 years since Czech car maker Skoda launched the new third generation of the Octavia in India. 4 years later and may be a little late comes the facelift of the luxury sedan. The most prominent are the split headlamps that are adaptive in nature. The grille gets a glossy finish and both the bumper and bonnet are redesigned.
The rear too sees a redesigned bumper and the car gets LED tail lamps which are similar to the ones seen on the Superb. There’s a new 8 inch touch screen system inside the updated Octavia that is compatible with Apple car play, Android auto as well as mirror link. The Updated Octavia comes in 1 diesel and 2 petrol engine options. While the 1.4 liter turbo motor churns out 147 bhp, the bigger Petrol is the most powerful of the lot at 177 bhp. The Diesel is the least powerful at 140 bhp. Here’s Shams Naqvi’s take on the 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift.
