PATNA: In an obvious abuse of power, Union Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ram Kripal Yadav was on Tuesday caught on camera trying to enter the Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Airport, Patna through the exit gate. However, the leader was stopped by a female security officer from breaking the rule who then started arguing with the airport official.
The MP following a dispute emphasized that only he should be allowed to enter through the wrong gate and not his team members. But doing her job with honesty, the woman denied the request made by Minister.
On being pressurized by the BJP member, the officer then consulted her seniors on walkie-talkie but the decision still remained the same. Yadav was not allowed to get through the exit gate and he eventually had to enter through the entry gate.
Speaking about his action in self defence, Yadav said, “I am glad our officials are performing their duties well. My intentions were not wrong as I was in rush. I had to reach my constituency to meet people. After the lady officer refused my entry, I took otherwise and did not argue with her.”
The Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation later accepted that he was at mistake and stated that he was wrong and should not have tried to break the rules.
According to senior Congress leader Shobha Oza, the behavior of the BJP MP was not proper.
