NEW DELHI: Tension for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seems to escalating every day. Already in dock for one of its ministers being accused for domestic violence and other for boasting fake degrees, sources now inform that Delhi Police is filing chargesheet against 21 MLAs of the party in different cases.

Out of 25 cases likely to be chargesheeted by Delhi Police, AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal is named in six, sources inform.

They added that while cases against Kejriwal are political, the charges against other party members revolves around serious offences such as molestation and storing liquor bottles in premises apart from others.

While Manoj Kumar is reportedly named in the chargesheet for a molestation case, Naresh Baliyan on the other hand is allegedly named in the liquor bottle case. Apart from these two, Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel has also been charged on serious crime such as beating up people, reports said.

The party fighting to end corruption is already facing embarrassment due to some of its ministers recently. Former Delhi Law Minister Jitender Singh Tomar was arrested on charges of cheating, forgery and getting fake jobs on false degree. Following the allegations, Tomar was forced to step down as the law minister of the capital.

Soon after the Tomar controversy, AAP was yet another time in news for wrong reasons because of its leader Somnath Bharti. Bharti has been accused of domestic violence and torture by his wife Lipika Mishra.

Mishra filed a 26-page complaint with the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) in which she mentioned that Bharti forced her to go for abortion when she was pregnant for the third time. She also alleged that giving up to merciless torture, she even tried to slit her wrist once. A dowry and marriage under false promises complaint was also registered by Bharti’s wife against him.
