Keep our love and brotherhood traditions alive: Rajasthan's chief minister pleads for calm following the skirmishes in Jodhpur

Clashes erupted in Jodhpur on Monday night, just days before the Eid-ul-Fitr and Akshaya Tritiya festivities. As a precaution, Internet services had been temporarily suspended.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot described the fights between two groups in Jodhpur as “unfortunate,” and ordered the district administration to preserve law and order at all costs, while also appealing to the people to maintain peace and unity.

Gehlot also urged residents to keep the district peaceful and harmonious.

“It’s a terrible incidence that a tense environment has prevailed owing to fights between the two groups at Jodhpur’s Jalori gate.” “At all costs, the administration has been ordered to maintain peace and order,” the chief minister tweeted.

He also urged the public to assist in preserving law and order in accordance with “Jodhpur’s history of love and brotherhood.”

Following conflicts on Monday night, the Jodhpur district government temporarily banned internet connections in the district on Tuesday as a precautionary measure, ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr and Akshaya Tritiya festivities today.
