Project ARA

Project ARA first came into limelight when a Dutch designer Dave Hakkens came with a new design by the name of Phonebloks. According to the concept, people throw their smartphone after it becomes obsolete or damaged, which lead to the growth in electronic waste. This waste can be reduced by using Phonebloks, which are removable components, each designed for particular task like camera, memory, processor etc. So if your phone does not have a good camera, you don’t need to buy a better phone, just remove the camera block and replace it with a new one. Not just it is innovative and cheap, but also helps in reducing waste and overall usage of a particular device increases.

While the release date has yet not been announced officially, it is rumoured to be launched in the near future. But once it comes into the market, it is going to give a tough battle to Apple and Android phone manufacturers.
