New Delhi: First Google-branded smartphones, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL were launched by Google on Tuesday at an event in San Francisco. The phones are all set to be launched in India as well, with pre-orders beginning from October 13. The price of Google Pixel in India is to start at Rs 57,000 and the phone will be available on Flipkart and the electronics giant retailers, Reliance Digital and Croma. 
The Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL sport 5-inch full-HD Amoled display and 5.5-inch Quad HD display respectively. Except the screen and battery size, the rest of the parts are going to be identical of both the phones. The phones will be available exclusively via Verizon and unlocked version from Google store. 
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, the phones will have a LPDDR4 RAM of 4GB. With fingerprint sensor, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL come with 12.3-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera.

The 32GB variant of Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL costs $649 (Rs 43000approximately) and $769 (Rs 51000approximately) respectively, whereas the 128GB variant of Pixel is priced at $749 (Rs 50000 approximately) and that of Pixel XL is $869 (Rs 58000 approximately). 
The pre-orders for the phones already started in Australia, Canada, Germany, UK and the US since after the launch event on Tuesday.
Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL will be available in ‘Quite Black’ and‘Very Silver’ colours while the ‘Really Blue’ colour is only for limited edition. 
Google has called the Google Pixel as the “first phone made by Google inside and out.” 
Along with the smartphones, Google also launched two other products as well, a virtual reality headset and the Chromecast Ultra.
