WWE’s October paper-view Hell In A Cell was indeed a rollercoaster ride for the WWE Universe which saw Sami Zayn turning out the villain of the night after an unforgettable yet punishing brawl between Kevin Owens and Smakdown commissioner Shane McMahon as both superstar literally went through hell inside the demonic structure. This year’s Hell in a cell paper view also saw the change in WWE tag team division as The Usos captured the gold in their exciting uphill challenge against the New Day. 

The WWE Championship title match lacked synergy and going by the in match action and the build-play, it never felt like a world title bout which eventually saw Jinder Mahal hitting the Khallas to retain his gold. So without further ado, let’s take a look at what actually went down by checking out the WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 Results.

The New Day vs. The Usos (Tag Team Championship, Hell in a Cell)

The tag team Championship brawl between The New Day vs. The Usos saw high flying action from both The New Day and The Usos. The match saw Big E hitting a gut-wrenching spear through the ropes smashing off the steels of the cage. In the end, it was Xavier Woods who was caught on the receiving end from a grog splash thanks to the courtesy of  Jey Uso with a kendo stick around his throat.

Randy Orton defeated Rusev

The Viper Randy Ortan was dominated by Rusev as the match came to a conclusion through a series of reversals. Ortan eventually delivered the RKO, YES! out of nowhere to get the pinfall.  

Baron Corbin defeated Tye Dillinger and AJ Styles (c) to win United States Championship

Albeit Dillinger was included in the title match, it was Baron Corbin who tuned out as the ultimate opportunist as he took the win from AJ Styles who delivered Phenomenal Forearm only to be floored by Corbin for pinfall.

Charlotte Flair defeated  Natalya,  Natalya still retained Women’s Championship title

In one of the much-anticipated contest in the Divas’ section, Charlotte Flair got the better of Natalya despite struggling with a knee injury throughout the match. Natalya used a chair to hit Flair right onto the skull of the contender to retain the title and give away the match win after being a disqualification.

Jinder Mahal defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to retain WWE Championship

Nakamura was on a roll throughout the match despite being distracted by the Singh Brothers. Mahal took his chances as the continuous distraction paved the way for the champion to hit the Khallas and retain the title via pinfall. 

Hell in a Cell (Falls Count Anywhere): Kevin Owens defeated Shane McMahon 

The heat of the moment Kevin Owens is expected to say the protagonist in Smackdown for the upcoming episodes after he emerged victorious even after Shane created the Wrestlemania moment against the Undertaker as he jumped through a table off the top of the cage.

The dramatic entry of Sami Zayn turned out to be the biggest plot and the most talked about moment in the Hell In A Cell paper view. With the fans screaming “This is awesome” chants throughout the match was a reminder what Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens are putting in there heated up the feud. The continuous ups and own in this match and the Sami Zayn surprise made the main event a success.
