Karachi: With an aim to improve cricket relations between India and Pakistan, International Cricket Council (ICC) president Zaheer Abbas believes that players of both subcontinent nations should participate in each other’s domestic T20 leagues.
While observing that matches between the two neighbouring countries had always generated worldwide attention, the former Pakistan Test batsman has called on both nations to play against each other on a regular basis, the Dawn reported.
Insisting that he has always been a great supporter of warm cricket relations between the two neighbouring nations, Abbas said that the Indian Premier League would gain more value if Pakistan players would feature in the tournament.
Abbas, who completes his one year tenure as the ICC president in July, reaffirmed that it was high time for the two cricket boards to come together in order to improve their troubled cricketing relations .
