New Delhi: The Gujarat Forest Department on Thursday ordered an inquiry after photographs of cricketer Ravindra Jadeja and his wife Riva posing in front of lions at Gir Wildlife Sanctuary surfaced on social media.

The 27-year-old Indian all-rounder, along with his wife and friends reportedly stepped out of the safari gypsy and got photographs clicked while standing just few feet away from the lions.

Jadeja who went on a lion safari in the tourism zone of Gir National Park and Sanctuary (GNPS) during his visit, has been accused of violating wildlife rules.

In the past months, the Gujarat Lions cricketer landed into a controversy when his relative was booked for allegedly firing in the air in celebration on his wedding day.
