Mumbai: India’s cricketing legend Anil Kumble on Wednesday appeared for his first media briefing as the head coach of the Indian Cricket team. Kumble’s first assignment at the helm of the cricket team would be India’s tour to West Indies starting July 6.
In the briefing, Kumble revealed his game plan. He informed that team India will head for West Indies tour next week where they will play four Tests against hosts West Indies.  
On June 23, Anil Kumble was appointed as the head coach of India after he was interviewed by Cricket Advisory Committee that comprised of his fellow cricketers Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.
The committee interviewed Kumble and a handful of other candidates in Kolkata on June 22 and 23 when they made their recommendations to the BCCI. Board president Anurag Thakur, along with BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke, took the final call on the coach’s appointment.
