New Delhi: Indian boxers Vikas Krishan, Manoj Kumar and Shiva Thapa are facing the risk of disqualification as none of the boxers have ‘INDIA’ written on the back of their jerseys which is a mandate for participation in the boxing events of Rio Olympics 2016.

Shiva Thapa, the youngest Indian boxer to qualify for the Olympics in 2012, was informed that he will not be allowed to fight without the name of country behind his jersey. Thapa is to represent India in the men’s 56 Kg weight category.

Sources revealed that the group is making last-minute efforts to get their jerseys inked. Thapa, who will wear his gloves and take guard at 8 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) has about four hours to fix the problem.
