Rio de Janeiro: Indian archer Deepika Kumari bowed out of the Rio Olympics, going down to Taipei’s Ting Tan Ya in the 1/8 Eliminations round of the Women’s Individual category here on thursday.
Deepika lost to the Taiwanese 27-28, 26-29, 27-30 at the Sambodromo arena.
Deepika Kumari stormed into the pre-quarters of the women’s individual recurve event after beating Italian international Guendalina Sartori 6-2 here on Thursday.
Deepika, who hails from Ranchi, posted a 24-27, 29-26, 28-26, 28-27 triumph over Sartori on Day five of Rio Games at Sambadrome venue.
