New Delhi: Premier League club Manchester United is reportedly interested in making a swoop in for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho who played a crucial role in Portugal’s win in Euro 2016.

United Manager Jose Mourinho has expressed interest in Carvalho and he might make the move to acquire the player in January when the transfer window opens.

But before signing on Carvalho, it should be noted that Manchester United has signed two huge transfer deals into the club. First being the largest acquisition in football, Paul Pogba, seconded by the transfer of Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic from PSG.

Not only Man United, other Premier League clubs like Everton, Leicester City and Southampton has expressed interest in the player.

Carvalho joined Sporting Lisbon when he was 13. If Lisbon signs off Carvalho, they might expect an equally audacious offer in return.
