New Delhi: After the grand success of the first season of Pro Wrestling League (PWL), ProSportify founder and promoter Kartikeya Sharma on Thursday launched the second season of PWL in New Delhi.
The launch that took place in Delhi saw some big names grace the occassion. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, President of the Wrestling Federation of India, Sakshi Malik along with Kartikeya Sharma attended the event. Following the launch, the event witnessed ramp walks by star wrestlers.
While talking to the media Kartikeya Sharma said, “It is easy to make cricket popular and bring it in a shorter format like IPL but to make a game like wrestling and convert it into television format which acceptable to audience is a fantastic journey. PWL will be the game changer.”
The PWL 2 will begin from December 15 and will feature wrestlers from India and abroad. The first season of PWL had six teams. The second season has added two more teams.
Some of the big names to participate in PWL 2 are Yogeshwar Dutt, Sushil Kumar, Geeta Phogat and Sakshi Malik.
