New Delhi: Arsenal will host Paris Saint-Germain for the UEFA Champions League’s group clash at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger’s men will be looking for a victory here as they are tied at 10 points with PSG, which currently tops the group on goal difference in the group A of Champions League. A win will mean finishing the group on top which help them avoid big guns of European football in last 16 stages.
Arsenal has failed to progress from last 16 to quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League in the last 6 years.
The previous group fixture which was played between the two teams in Paris was a draw.
Arsenal has been in a torrid run of games in November, managing just one point each from the games against English Premier League (EPL) rivals Tottenham and Manchester United. Injuries to first team regulars Hector Bellerin and Santi Cazorla have been a big blow to the North London outfit.
Paris St Germain will travel without full-back Serge Aurier, who has been denied visa to Britain on the grounds of assaulting a police officer outside a Paris nightclub.
