Iran has decided that it will issue visas to the United States wrestlers who were earlier refused entry to the country following US President Trump’s executive order on immigration.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry assured the wrestlers that they will get to participate in the Freestyle World Cup which will be held in mid-February. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi said that the decision was made following the temporary halt in the restriction on Iranian citizens in US.

Mohammad Javad Zarif, Iran’s Foreign Minister, wrote on his Twitter account that Iran will issue visas for the US wrestlers.

Trump’s executive order was overturned by Seattle Federal Judge James Robart who said the order adversely affected US residents in areas of education, employment and freedom to travel.
