MS Dhoni is back to what he does best, scoring runs when his team needs most. The former Indian captain scored a scintillating 129 in 107 balls against Chattisgarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Eden gardens, Kolkata.

The Jharkhand skipper’s century came when the team was in trouble at 57/6 in 20 overs. Dhoni’s innings included 10 fours and 6 massive sixes, helping Jharkhand reach a competitive total of 243 runs in 50 overs.

Notably, Jharkhand had earlier lost to Karnataka in the first game of the tournament by 5 runs on Saturday, in which MS scored a 50-ball 43.

In Sunday’s match, Dhoni built up a winning partnership of 151 runs with Shahbaz Nadem, who scored 53 runs in 90 balls, for the seventh wicket.

Dhoni was dismissed on the final ball of the 50th over.
