Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag who failed to get team India coaching job, has refused to let it dampen his spirits and is having fun time in Canada.

The ‘king’ of social media took to photo-sharing website Instagram and posted a picture of himself ‘chilling’ in the country.

Sehwag was being considered a front-runner for the post of head coach of Indian team, but lost to Shastri in the final race.

According to reports, majority of CAC was in favour of Sehwag’s appointment for role of coach, but failed to make a unanimous decision. Following the development, CoA chief Vinod Rai sought the team’s opinion who named Ravi Shastri as their choice for the coach.

Shastri will be head coach of the Indian team till 2019 World Cup.  His first assignment will be a full-fledged tour of Sri Lanka featuring three Tests, five ODIs and a one-off T20 International starting July 26.  He will be joined by bowling coach  Zaheer Khan and batting consultant for overseas tours Rahul Dravid.
