It’s no secret that India is home to millions of football admirers who love their teams. Well the love is mutual as the big clubs with large fan bases in the subcontinent love their Indian fans equally.

On the eve of India’s 70th Independence anniversary several major European football clubs wished their fans in the country with beautiful heartfelt messages which are sure to touch the hearts of their Indian fanatics.

Here are some:

1) Manchester United: Loved by one and all United is one of the most popular clubs in the world. The Premier League giants posted a picture on Facebook of a few Red Devils players celebrating a goal to send greeting to their fans in India and assure them of more such scenes in upcoming games. “Happy Independence Day to all our Indian fans” the club wished in their message.

2) Bayern Munich: The German club has a huge fan centre in India, wishing all the German football enthusiast, the Club posted a picture on Facebook with the recently acquired German Cup which they won on 6th August defeating arch rivals Dortmund. “FC Bayern wishes a very Happy Independence Day to India” said the post on Facebook by the club.

3) Arsenal: India is home to millions of Arsenal Gunners who share abundant love for the London club. The club took to Facebook and posted a video of players Reiss Nelson and Sead Kolasinac wishing India and Arsenal fans a very happy Independence Day.


4) Tottenham: The English club has recently entered into the elite group of clubs to have considerate fans in India. In last couple of years Tottenham has been one of the most loved English clubs which has gain a huge fan base across the country. Spurs captain Harry Kane can be seen holding the Indian Tri-colour flag in the club’s post on Facebook wishing India a prosperous Independence Day. “We wish you a very Happy Independence Day स्वतंत्रता दिवस की शुभकामनाएं। #IndependenceDayIndia #JaiHind” the caption read on the post.

 5) Liverpool: One of the oldest English clubs, the Reds have a loyal group of fans in India who share a strong bond with the club. Not missing out on the opportunity to send love to their fans in the country, Liverpool posted a beautiful picture on Facebook wishing their Indian fans on the occasion. “LFC wishes Happy Independence Day to all our Indian fans” Liverpool wrote on Facebook wishing their Indian loyalists.

6) PSG: With Neymar in the side, the Paris based club has not only acquired an acclaimed player but also many football fanatics who look up to the Brazilian ace. Several Neymar fans in India were waiting for the club to send a message for them and their wait was worth as PSG’s message to their Indian fans came through a cool Indian themed video that the Paris club posted on Twitter with three club players Adrien Rabiot, Julian Draxler and Kevin Trapp wishing their fans in Hindi on Independence Day eve.
