Colombian international forward Carlos Bacca has joined Spanish football club Villarreal on a season-long loan deal from Milan, the La Liga side announced on Wednesday. The loan contract included a purchase option at the end of the season, according to Villarreal’s official website, reports Efe.
The 29-year-old, who played the last two seasons with Milan, passed the medical tests earlier on Wednesday, prior to signing the contract.
Bacca joined Villarreal after Spanish striker Roberto Soldado was transferred from the La Liga side to Turkish Fenerbahce last week.
During the last season, Bacca played 34 games with Milan in Serie A, the Italian Super Cup and the Italian Cup, scoring 14 goals.
Since becoming a professional player, Bacca has scored 165 goals in 336 games.
