Indian captain Mithali Raj, actor Shah Rukh Khan and founder of Reliance Foundation Nita Ambani along with likes of Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, Karan Johar, Padma Lakshmi and Russian model and actress Natalia Vodianova are shining on fashion magazine Vogue’s 10th anniversary special covers.

The cover celebrates “Women of the Year and the men we all love” and Mithali Raj’s inclusion is a pleasant surprise. The cricketer, however is worthy of all the laurels coming her way following her team’s foray into women’s World Cup final.

In the cover, the skipper of Indian team is wearing an elegant black Johanna Ortiz jumpsuit and standing next to Shah Rukh Khan, who is looking his best in an all black tux by Raisson D’Etre. Nita Ambani, on the other hand, is donning a pretty lace blouse by Ele Saab paired with Valentino lace trousers.

The mind blowing makeover of Mithali has taken social media by storm with fans flooding it with posts. The cricketer has caught attention of international writers as well. In June, British Vogue writer Caroline O’Donoghue heaped praises on 34-year-old Raj in an opinion piece.
“The fact is, I had no idea the Women’s Cricket World Cup was even on until today, or that Indian women were absolutely dominating it. None of my friends watched it, no one on my Twitter feed uttered a word, and no papers mentioned Mithali Raj, the team captain who calmly reads Thirteenth Century poetry before every game and is one of cricket’s most prodigious talents – the youngest woman player ever to score 100 on her debut at a one-day international,” Caroline had written.

The other two covers are equally magnificent with one having Twinkle Khanna, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, and other featuring Padma Lakshmi, Priyanka Chopra and Natalia Vodianova.
