The day 7 of Asian Games Indonesia 2018, was a successful day for India as the players managed to bag the 4 medals today including 1 gold and 3 bronze. Thanks to Tajinderpal Singh Toor, who clinched a gold medal in the men’s shot put event. While squash seeds Dipika Pallikal, Joshna Chinappa and Sourav Ghoshal bagged the bronze medal. After Day 7’s successful run, India is holding the 8th position on the medal tally with total 29 medals—7 gold, 5 silver and 17 bronze. 

In badminton, ace shuttler PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal showed their great skills and stormed into the women’s singles quarterfinals. 

Athletes like Hima Das, who surpassed her own record, advanced to the finals of 400-meter women’s race in the Asian Games 2018, which will be held on Sunday. Indian women’s hockey team continued their winning run and crushed South Korea by 4-1.

China is at the top in the Asian Games Indonesia 2018 medal tally with 71 gold, 52 silver and 30 bronze. Currently, India is at the 8th position with 29 medals including 7 gold, 5 silver and 17 bronze.
