In a surprising turn of events, former porn star Mia Khalifa’s face was featured on a religious hoarding during the ‘Aadi’ festival in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. The image was altered to make it seem as though she was carrying a ‘paal kudam’ (milk vessel), which is a traditional offering during the festival dedicated to Goddess Amman, also known as Parvati.
The hoarding, displayed near the Nagathamman and Selliyamman temples, caught public attention due to its unusual content. Alongside Mia Khalifa’s edited image, those responsible for the hoarding also included their own photos in a style resembling Aadhaar card IDs. As the image quickly gained traction online, local police intervened and removed the hoarding to prevent further controversy.
This unexpected appearance of Mia Khalifa’s image in a religious context has sparked discussions about the misuse of public displays for personal or humorous purposes, especially during significant cultural and religious events. Authorities are looking into how the altered image made its way onto the hoarding in the first place.
