Three police officers are shown assaulting a guy in a video that has appeared on social media in the US. The event happened in Crawford County, Arkansas, outside a convenience shop. An investigation into the event has been opened by the state police.
The individual laying on the ground is beaten and handled roughly by the three officials—two County deputies and one Mulberry police officer—in the video.
Randal Worcester has been named as the victim of the police’s physical abuse, according to a media outlet.
The event happened early on Sunday. A Mulberry convenience shop called the police in regards to a guy posing a threat to one of the staff members. State police reported that when the authorities later contacted Mr. Worcester, he didn’t cooperate with them and assaulted one of the policemen.
The agency also stated that after being treated at a hospital, Mr. Worcester was transferred to prison.
The 27-year-old is accused of second-degree assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and refusing to comply, according to the report.
Meanwhile, Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante indicated in a statement that the two county officers have been suspended pending the completion of the inquiry, according to a media outlet.
According to the article, the Mulberry Police Department has also suspended the officer involved in the incident.
