As the nation transitions into its 75th year of Independence, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is burgeoning. The zeal is palpable in the villages of Uttar Pradesh and Jammu.

As there is a mega Tricolour yatra set out from Idgah of Aidhbagh, Uttar Pradesh, from the Islamic Centre of India. The students of the UP Madrasa were seen with hundreds of national flags in their hands. The yatra was led by Maulana Khalid Rashid, the students hymned patriotic songs and the flag was hoisted atop the Madrasa as well.

Subsequently, in Jammu and Kashmir, similar visuals were seen as young students of the Dawate Islami Hindi Madrasa were waving flags as they mark the ‘Azadi ka Amrat Mahotsav.” The tricolour was hoisted in the Madrasa. The feeling of patriotism was similar to that of UP’s Madrasa as the students raised patriotic slogans. The national flag was also unfurled at the Madrasa.

Many public sites in J&K, including Lal Chowk in Srinagar and Kokila Chowk in Kishtwar, had the Tricolour flying high. The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has gained a foothold in Pulwama, with students actively engaging in an essay, painting, and singing competitions, as well as Tiranga rallies at all educational institutions in the region. People in the Anantnag area have begun flying the Tricolor on their rooftops as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Abhiyan.

‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is a government of India endeavour commemorating 75 years of independence and the magnificent history of India’s people, culture, and achievements. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’s formal voyage began on March 21, 2021, and will conclude one year later on August 15, 2023.
