With Kejriwal failing to get timely clearance from Delhi Lieutenant Governor, the AAP chief hits the turf of Modi with rallies planned on August 1, 6, 7, and 10.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) commander-in-chief Arvind Kejriwal is all set for his campaign in Gujarat. The nonstop attacks on the two of his closest – Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Yadav – seem to have sharpened Kejriwal’s resolve to enter the turf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and hayfork the party’s prospect in the high-stakes battle.
With the Singapore trip being out of the question, Kejriwal failed to get a timely clearance from the Delhi Lieutenant Governor. The AAP chief will hit the road, beginning with a public rally in Somnath and a subsequent visit to Rajkot and then Bhavnagar, the epicenter of the liquor mishap, in which several died after drinking spurious liquor.
Earlier, on a visit to the families involved in the liquor tragedy.
In addition to wishing a speedy recovery, Delhi’s CM asked how liquor was sold openly in the state when it’s a dry one.
“Why is the state government not looking after this or is there any internal conspiracy behind it?” he had said.
He further added that it is not the first incident of citizens of Gujarat falling ill due to consuming spurious liquor, “People’s lives are at stake,” said Delhi CM.
