In another example of a mass shooting in the United States, five people were murdered and 18 others were injured in a shooting incident at the homosexual nightclub “Club Q” in the state of Colorado on Saturday.
Colorado Springs Police Lt. Pamela Castro said officers arrived to the area after receiving “several” 911 calls starting at 11:57 p.m.
Castro added, “They did find one person inside who we believe to be the culprit. The suspect is still receiving treatment while being held in prison.”
In a social media post, Club Q expressed its devastation by the terrible assault on their community and expressed its sympathies to the victims and their families.
The statement continued, “We commend the swift efforts of courageous bystanders who stopped the gunman and terminated this hate assault. Police have not yet disclosed the specifics of how the incident ended, however Castro claimed that this was not an officer-involved shooting.”
