Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. He will flag off the Vande Bharat Express from the Una Himachal railway station.

Prime Minister will then dedicate IIIT Una to the country and set the cornerstone for Bulk Drug Park in Una at a public ceremony.

According to a news release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday, the Prime Minister will thereafter officially launch the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-III and lay the cornerstone for two hydropower projects in Himachal Pradesh during a public ceremony in Chamba. The country has moved quickly toward achieving self-reliance across many sectors as a result of the Prime Minister’s call for Aatmanirbhar Bharat and the backing of several new initiatives of the administration.

Pharmaceuticals is one of these crucial industries, and the Prime Minister will lay the cornerstone of the over Rs 1900 crore Bulk Drug Park in Haroli in the Una district to bring in Aatmanirbharta in this industry.

Press releases claim that the Park will lessen reliance on imports of API. Over 20,000 employees and a projected investment of over Rs. 10,000 crores would be employed. Additionally, it will boost regional economic activity.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una will be dedicated to the country by the prime minister. In 2017, the Prime Minister laid the building’s cornerstone. At the moment, this Institute is home to over 530 students.
