An evading wanted thug was captured by Delhi Police in the Seelampur neighbourhood.
According to Delhi Police, Gangster Nadeem alias Kaaliya is a key member of Nasir gang and a proclaimed criminal (absent for 2 years) in the MACOCA case. At the Seelampur police station, a murder complaint was filed against him in accordance with IPC section 302/34. He was wanted by the court on a non-bailable warrant. Nadeem (40) lives in Delhi’s Jafrabad neighbourhood.
Delhi Police sent a committed squad to find Nadeem. Police squad set up a trap at Gurudwara Seelampur along GT Road based on a covert tip that he was in the vicinity. Earlier on Thursday, Nadeem was captured by police after a brief chase and altercation.
He was found to be in possession of a semi-automatic weapon that was loaded with six live rounds. The Seelampur police station received a separate case registration under the Arms Act.
Nadeem confessed to his crime and told the authorities that he had been hiding in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, for a while after a protracted questioning. However, he had been residing in a leased apartment in Darya Ganj, Delhi, for the previous month after the death of his wife. He claimed that he once went to Seelampur to see his pals.
