A police confrontation resulted in the arrest of wanted felon Zafar from Moradabad on Saturday, an official said. Zafar’s chase earlier this week led Uttar Pradesh police into a hamlet in Uttrakand, the source said.
“Zafar was carrying a Rs. 1 lakh reward. In Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand, he managed to flee from Bharatpur. He is receiving treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. One of the constables was hurt during the confrontation. Additional research is being conducted, “Akhilesh Bhadoria, Superintendant of Police (SP), Moradabad (city).
Zafar was hit by a gunshot during the confrontation. He was then taken to the hospital after this.
