V Narayanan appointed ISRO chief and space secretary, succeeding S Somanath.
Narayanan has four decades of experience and key positions at ISRO.
He currently directs ISRO's Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre in India.
Narayanan’s term as ISRO chief begins on January 14, 2025.
He led the C25 Cryogenic Project for the GSLV Mk III mission.
Under his leadership, ISRO will focus on Gaganyaan, Chandrayaan-4, and Mars.
