Who Is Mehul Choksi? Fugitive Arrested In Belgium
Mehul Choksi, a billionaire diamond trader, was arrested in Belgium on India’s request.
He is accused of involvement in the ₹13,850 crore Punjab National Bank scam.
Choksi fled India in January 2018, avoiding authorities since then.
He held Belgian residency, living in Antwerp with his wife, Preeti Choksi.
Choksi’s extradition could be delayed as he plans to apply for bail.
