Rio De Janeiro: At least three people were killed on Sunday when their small plane crashed in central Brazil, authorities said.

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) said in a press release that the plane took off from the city of Palmeiras de Goias, in Goias state, and was headed towards the state capital of Goiania, 100 km away, said a report.

The single-engine aircraft crashed into a wooded area near the air terminal of the town of Trinidade, killing all three male passengers on board, the FAB said.
