Pyongyang: The top leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un has recently guided the test firing of newly developed anti-tank guided weapons, the official KCNA news agency reported on Saturday.
The weapons were developed by North Korea’s national defence experts, Xinhua cited the report as saying.
The test fire aimed to verify the flying control and accuracy of a portable anti-tank laser-guided rocket as well as the power of the warhead, it said.
According to the report, several improvements had been made to the weapons from an earlier inspection, including an extension of the firing range and an increase in the power of the warhead and its ability to penetrate armoured vehicles.
